Bug in rolling your own 2048 bit CA?

September 15th, 2008

According to this OpenSSL RT note it looks like it might just be that OpenSSL and LDAPS are having marital issues.

Either way, I got stuck in the middle of that cat fight this weekend, and I lived to tell…I figured out the problem at 11:55pm…and to think I started working on this Saturday. At least I solved it before the weekend.

I still suggest using SSL to secure your LDAP stores though guys…I just wish I could go with the ‘more secure’…..

Honed, with a 1/2 bevel edge in Kashmir Gold Granite. Nice, thanks to Stacy and Fox-Marble.

Sunsets and pumpkin pie…

November 14th, 2005

Last night proved that once again November rules for the best sunsets around here.

We went out and watched the sun go down, and the lights come up…

The only thing that made it better was coming inside to the smell of a homemade pumpkin pie Robin had in the oven. If you look at the view cam, it’s just not high enough res. to catch all the colors of the sunsets around here, and too bad there’s still no scratch and sniff plug-in either. I guess this will have to do until they develop the technology further. ;-)
